Microsoft’s ‘Foldable’ Surface With ‘Android Apps’ Coming In 2020

Rumors of foldable Microsoft surface computer is circulating on the internet for quite some time now. A new report is suggesting that it may become a reality. British analytics outfit IHS Markit told Forbes that Microsoft will release a smaller foldable Surface in the first half of 2020.

The foldable device code-named ‘Centaurus’ is expected to have a 9-inch screen with a 4:3 aspect ratio. It will have 10nm Intel Lakefield processor.  The device will include support for an always-on LTE or 5G mobile data connection. It will feature two separate display unlike the recently announce Lenovo foldable PC with one foldable display.

Foldable Surface Pc will run on the new version of Windows 10 which is rumors to be codenamed Windows Core OS or WCOS  features integrated UI support for dual displays. It will run Android apps and iCloud in the Windows 10.

We don’t know anything about the announcement date of the device, we only know it will arrive in the market in the first half of 2020. Although according to Windows Central Microsoft may unveil the device in the October hardware event later this year.

We have already seen a failed attempt from Samsung and Huawei in an effort to launch the first foldable smartphone. Now it’s time for PC space to launch the first foldable PC. Will they succeed or fail, we have to wait for that. Till then let me know your thought in this.
