We have been hearing rumors about the Motorola Edge and Edge+ for quite some time. We’ve seen numerous leaks of a Motorola phone with a waterfall display over the past few months. Now Motorola has confirmed officially that they will be launching the latest flagship on April 22nd.
Now it’s true that they have not given us any name but Moto’s teaser tweet shows a flagship and shows the nearly 90° curve of a waterfall display, just like we have seen in the renders leaks. So there is a good chance that it the Motorola Edge+. The Moto Edge should be released at the event as well. The Motorola Edge+ is the higher-end device with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, while the Edge has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765.
The Moto Edge+ has 6.67 inch 1080p display. The display is 90Hz, so it is Moto’s first phone with a 90Hz screen. here is a tiny, singular hole-punch cutout in the top left corner. The Edge+ device will have up to 12GB of RAM, a 5,000mAh+ battery, support for 5G (including mmWave antenna).
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Motorola will not do any physical event so it will be an online-only event. The online event is scheduled for April 22nd at 11:00 AM CT (12:00 PM ET).
