After years of waiting and rumors Apple has finally officially unveiled new iPhone SE. This is the second generation iPhone SE and the successor of first-gen iPhone SE from 2016. But it will not be called iPhone SE 2 or iPhone 9 as previously some report suggested.
The iPhone SE has a 4.7-inch Retina HD display with True Tone adjustment. It has support for Dolby Vision and HDR10 playback.
The SE 2020 edition looks just like the iPhone 8. It has a glass back and thick chin on top and bottom of the display. It comes with a home button and Touch ID sensor. It doesn’t have support for FaceID instead it used the Touch ID for unlocking the device.
The iPhone has a single 12MP f/1.8 aperture Wide camera on the back with the support for Portrait Mode, Portrait Lighting Effects, and Depth Control. It is capable of shooting 4K video at 60fps. It has a 7MP front camera which is capable of shooting 1080P video at 30fps.
The iPhone SE 2020 is powered by the A13 Bionic chip just like the new iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro. So you can expect the performance to be top-notch. So you can safely say that it will be the most powerful mobile in terms of processing power in this price category. Apple has not provided any information about the amount of RAM present in the device. But that’s should not be a problem in terms of performance because of OS-level optimization that Apple provides. The iPhone SE also brings Wi-Fi 6 and Gigabit-class LTE support.
The iPhone SE is wireless-charging capable with Qi-certified chargers and also supports fast-charging, giving customers up to 50 percent charge in just 30 minutes. The new iPhone SE also touts stereo audio recording and dual SIM support through eSIM. It is water- and dust-resistant with an IP67 rating. Although it has brought back some of the old features there is no headphone jack available in iPhone SE.
The pricing of the new iPhone SE starts from $399 (Rs 30,500). It will be available in three variants such as 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB for $399 (Rs 30,500), $449 (Rs 34,300) , and $549 (Rs 42,000) respectively. You can pre-order it from 17th April and from 24th April it will be available for retail.
