Up until now if you ever need to move or backup your photos to Google Photos then your only option was to download every phots and video and then upload them to Google Photos. But Facebook’s New Photo Transfer Tool is about to change that painful process. This tool will help to backup all of your Facebook’s photos and videos to Google Photos in just a few simple steps.
Transfer your Facebook Photos and Videos in these Easy Steps:
Step 1: After logging into your Facebook account, click on the down arrow at the end of the upper menu bar and select “Settings.” Or just go here.
Step 2: Then go to the tab called “Your Facebook Information.”
Step 3: Click on “Transfer a copy of your Photos or Videos.” After this, your Facebook password will be asked to verify you.
Step4: Then select the destination. For now, only Google Photos is available. (More on that later) and then select photos or videos to transfer and click Next.
Step 5: Next it will prompt you to log in to the Google account you want to save photos and then allow Facebook access to the account.
Step 6: After step 5, you should be redirected to Facebook where you just need to click on the Confirm Transfer.
And that is it, you have successfully transferred all of your Facebook photos and videos to Google Photos. For now, you can only transfer to Google Photos. But in the future, you will also be able to transfer photos to other companies that join the Data Transfer Program.
Data Transfer Project was taken by Google, Facebook, Microsoft, and Twitter in 2018. Later in 2019 Apple had joined the project. However, it’s unclear when Facebook will add support for other services.
