After months of beta testing, a stable version of the Vivaldi browser for Android is finally here. Vivaldi also released the Vivaldi 3.0 for the desktop at the same time. Vivaldi browser first launched for desktop back in 2016 and it was created by the co-creator of Opera Browser after their exit from the Opera. Vivaldi mainly focuses on customization, privacy, and agility.
Vivaldi for Android has a desktop-style tab layout for easier access to all tabs but if you don’t like it you can disable it from the settings. Vivaldi has built-in ad and tracker blocker from DuckDuckGo which are off by default, so if you want to use them then you will have to turn them on from settings. The browser also supports dark mode and other features like “Swipe to Close Tabs,” “Hide Status bar,” and smaller Speed Dials for a better view.
Vivaldi for Android supports syncing history, bookmarks, passwords, and other autofill information, and Speed Dial tabs between other platforms. This data is stored in Vivaldi’s own servers in Iceland. By default, Vivaldi uses Bing as the default search engine but you can easily change that from the settings. Vivaldi also comes with other useful features like an inbuilt notes taker and a snapshot tool.
