Vivo has launched new midrange 5G capable Vivo Y51s in China. Vivo Y51s share similarities with previously announced Y70s. Vivo Y51s comes with triple rear camera, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and 5G capability.
Vivo Y51s Specification
Vivo Y51s features a 6.53-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,340 pixels) LCD display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and a screen-to-body ratio of 90.72 percent, and 394 ppi pixel density. The display has a punch hole at the top left side of the display to house the front-facing camera. Vivo Y51s also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
The Vivo Y51s powered by the Exynos 880 octa-core SoC (two Cortex-A77 cores clocked at 2.0GHz and six Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.8GHz) paired with Mali-G76 MP5 graphics. It has 6GB of LPPDR4x RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
At the back Vivo Y51s has a triple camera setup consists of a 48MP f/1.79 primary sensor along with a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor and a 2MP f/2.4 macro sensor. At the front, it has an 8MP f/2.05 camera housed in the punch hole of the display. Camera modes include night view, portrait, panorama, dynamic photo, slow motion, time-lapse, and others. Video recording goes up to 4K resolution.
Vivo Y51s comes with a 4,500 mAh with support for 18W charging over micro USB. On the connectivity side, it has support for 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Micro-USB port, and 3.5mm headphone jack. The dimensions of the phone are 162.05×76.61×8.46mm and it weighs 190 grams. It runs Funtouch OS 10.5 based on Android 10 out of the box.
Pricing and Availability
Vivo Y51s is available in three color options – Secret Realm Black, Snow Feather White, and Bihailan Blue. It’s available for reservations on Vivo’s China’s official store and will go on sale on July 29 for CNY 1,798 (~$256/ Rs. 19,100) for the single 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option.
