Recently Realme launched Realme C11, the world’s first MediaTek Helio G35 powered smartphone. Now Realme’s one of the big rival Xiaomi also have options to offers its customer. Xiaomi announces Realme 9A and Realme 9C powered by the Mediatek Helio G25 and G35 respectively in Malaysia. The company shared this news via a Facebook post.
Redmi 9A
Redmi 9A features a 6.53-inch HD+ (720×1,600 pixels) LCD Dot Drop display. It has a 20:9 aspect ratio and can go up to 400 nit peak brightness. It houses a waterdrop notch at the top of the display for the front-facing camera. The Redmi 9A measures 164.9×77.07x9mm and weighs 194 grams.
At the back, Redmi 9A has a single 13MP f/2.2 camera. At the front, it has a 5MP f/2.4 camera house inside the waterdrop notch.
Redmi 9A is powered by the Mediatek Helio G25 SoC coupled with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage which can be expanded via a microSD card up to 512GB. Redmi 9A comes equipped with a huge 5,000mAh battery and has the micro USB port for up to 10W charging. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack. On the connectivity side, it supports 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0.
Redmi 9C
Just like the Redmi 9A, the Redmi 9C also features the same 6.53-inch display. It has a 20:9 aspect ratio and can go up to 400 nit peak brightness. It houses a waterdrop notch at the top of the display for the front-facing camera. Unlike the Redmi 9A, the Redmi 9C has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. It measures 164.9×77.07x9mm and weighs 196 grams.
The Redmi 9C is powered by the MediaTek Helio G35 that’s clocked at 2.3GHz. Similar to the 9A, it also gets 2GB LPDDR4x RAM and 32GB of eMMC 5.1 storage which is also expandable via a microSD card up to 512GB.
At the back, the Redmi 9C features a triple-camera setup that consists of a 13MP f/2.2 main camera, 2MP f/2.4 macro shooter, and a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor. In front, it also gets a 5MP selfie shooter that’s housed on the tiny notch.
Redmi 9C is also powered by a 5,000mAh battery. It uses a micro USB port and it comes with a 10W charger out of the box. On the connectivity side, it supports 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, and WiFi.
Some reports also suggesting that the Redmi 9A and Redmi 9C, both have an additional 3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB storage variants respectively for the Indonesian market, but their pricing and availability details remain unclear.
Pricing and Availability
Redmi 9A has been priced at 359 RM (~Rs. 6,300 or $84) for the single 2GB+32GB variant. It will be available to buy in three colors- Midnight Gray, Twilight Blue, and Peacock Green. While the Redmi 9C has been priced at 429 RM (~Rs. 7,570 or $100) for the single 2GB+32GB variant. It will be available to buy later in July in three colors- Black, Blue, and Orange.
