Google Likely To Release Android 10 For Pixel Smartphones On September 3

Android 10 release date revealed

The next generation of the Android version called Android 10 is expected to release on September 3, 2019. At first, it was speculated that the Android will release with Pixel 4 in October, but now it looks like that atleast for Pixel devices it will launch on September 3rd. This piece of information comes from a Google Support Agent who mentioned to a PhoneArena reporter in a conversation.

The screenshots of the conversation have been shared by Phonearena, and also separately confirmed by them.  In the conversation, the Google agent said, “I would like to inform you that the Android Q will be rolled out to the devices from September 3, 2019″. The publication notes that the Android 10 update when it is rolled out next month it will not only be available on Pixel 3a, Pixel 3a XL, Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones but also on Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones.

With the release of Android 10, Google is finally moving away from the long tradition of naming based on the sweet dessert for simpler nomenclature. In past we have seen names like- Android 1.5 Cupcake, Android 1.6 Donut, Android 2.0 and 2.1 Eclair, Android 2.2 Froyo, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, Android 3.0 and 3.2 Honeycomb, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, Android 4.1 and 4.3 Jelly Bean, Android 4.4 KitKat, Android 5.0 and 5.1 Lollipop, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, Android 7.0 and 7.1 Nougat, Android 8.0 and 8.1 Oreo, and Android 9 Pie.

Although you should take the information as a grain of salts because Google itself has not announced the release date officially. So we will have to wait for an official confirmation from the company to say anything for sure.
