Apple has recently announced a much-awaited iPhone SE. Now a recent rumor suggesting that Apple could also be working on a bigger version of the iPhone SE. The device is expected to be called iPhone SE Plus and it should replace the iPhone 8 Plus.
Tech analyst and YouTuber Jon Prosser from FrontPageTech has twitted about the existence of the iPhone SE Plus. Jon has built a reputation lately for being super accurate with his Apple-related leaks.
The exact release date is currently unknown. Some report claims that iPhone SE Plus may release in May alongside the new MacBook Pro and AirPods. Others claimed that it may get unveiled alongside the iPhone 12 series later this year. A DigiTimes report from earlier this year claimed that Apple could launch the iPhone SE Plus at the end of 2020 or early 2021.
When it comes to specification, it is expected that iPhone SE Plus will also be power by the same Bionic A13 chip that found on the iPhone 11 and iPhone SE 2020. It could feature a 5.5-inch display Retina HD display just like the iPhone 8 Plus. It should also include a Touch ID sensor and will have thick bezels on the top and bottom.
On the back iPhone, SE Plus expected to have a dual-camera setup. The main shooter could the 12MP f/1.8 sensor. Now, will Apple stick with the old 2x telephoto lens or will include an ultrawide sensor just like the recent iPhone 11, is currently known. The iPhone SE Plus is also likely to get IP67 water and dust resistance as well as support for wireless charging like the new iPhone SE.
