Apple Launched A New iPad Pro With Trackpad Support

Apple has introduced new fourth-generation iPad Pro with some very exciting features. New iPad Pro has a new camera setup, a 120Hz display, LiDAR Scanner, and the A12Z Bionic chip. All the iPad Pro models run iPadOS 13.4.

Apple iPad Pro Display

New iPad Pro features an edge-to-edge Liquid Retina display of 11 inches and 12.9 inches. The display has an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate or ProMotion technology, which means the refresh rate will change according to the situation for smooth scrolling and responsiveness. The display has P3 wide color support and true tone support.

iPad Internal

New Apple iPad Pro is powered by the Bionic A12Z chip. It features an 8-core CPU and 8-core GPU along with Apple’s Neural Engine. And as usual, Apple has not the size of the battery rather they said that the new iPad will last up to 10 hours with a single charge. The new iPad has 6GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage. New Apple iPad also features faster WIFI than the last-gen iPad and it has a gigabit-class LTE which Apple claims is 60 percent faster with support for more LTE bands than any other tablet.

Camera and Mics

The new camera system on the iPad Pro features a 12MP Wide camera with support up to 4k video recording, as well as a 10MP Ultra-Wide camera. Apple has also upgraded the microphone system. Apple said, “iPad Pro now features five studio-quality microphones for capturing super clean audio and the quietest details, and delivers an immersive sound experience with four-speaker audio that automatically adjusts to any orientation, no matter how it is held.”

LiDAR Scanner

The new Apple iPad Pro features LiDAR or Light Detection and Ranging sensor which measures the distance to surrounding objects up to 5 meters away. It will also work as the depth sensor for the cameras for better scene recognition. But Apple mainly implemented LiDAR for enhanced AR experiences on iPad Pro. Apple said, “Every existing ARKit app automatically gets instant AR placement, improved motion capture, and people occlusion. Using the latest update to ARKit with a new Scene Geometry API, developers can harness the power of the new LiDAR Scanner to unleash scenarios never before possible.”

Trackpad Support

Apple always presented the iPad as a substitute for a laptop. And they took the right step when in that direction when Apple released iPadOS last year. But still, the lack of support for trackpad was not making it a compelling option. But that may change because iPadOS 13.4 brings trackpad support to the iPad for the first time. Apple says that trackpad support in iPadOS is designed to work great with the apps customers use every day.

Pricing

The 11-inch iPad Pro starts at Rs 71,900 for the Wi-Fi model and Rs 85,900 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model. Meanwhile, the 12.9-inch iPad Pro starts at Rs 89,900 for the Wi-Fi model and Rs 103,900 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model.
