For a couple of years, we are seeing a new category of phones called Gaming Phone. Mainly this category is populated by Asus ROG, Razor, and Nubia Red Magic. Now we have a contender as Lenovo. Known for making a good gaming laptop and PC has now entered the Gaming Phone category with the new Lenovo Legion Phone Duel. Lenovo Legion Phone Duel has all the bells and whistles to make it a great Gaming Phone.

- Display and Internal
Lenovo Legion Phone Duel features a 6.65-inch Full HD (2340 x 1080) AMOLED glass touch screen display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The display has a 19.5:9 aspect ratio.
Lenovo Legion Phone Duel is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ SoC. It is the latest and greatest SoC from Qualcomm with support for dual 5G band. The phone comes with up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 onboard storage.
- Cameras
Lenovo Legion Phone Duel phone has dual camera setup but the position of those cameras is quite unique. The dual-camera system includes a 64MP primary sensor and a 16MP ultra-wide sensor with a 120-degree FOV.
Lenovo Legion Phone Duel packs a pop-up camera module for the selfie cam. But here is also the position is quite unique. It is the world’s first side-mounted popup camera. The side-mounted popup camera module has a 20-megapixel selfie camera sensor that has an f/2.2 lens. According to Lenovo, they implemented this styling to make it easier for mobile gamers to stream with a clean camera overlay on top. According to Lenovo, the pop-up camera opens up in only 0.496 seconds and they tested the pop-up mechanism over 4 lakh times.
- Cooling and Battery
This phone is also equipped with a dual liquid cooling system, coupled with 45767.32 square millimeter heat dissipation area, 14 temperature sensors, and suspended heat insulation middle cap together help lower the temperature by up to 5-degree Celcius. The Lenovo Legion Phone Duel has dual ultrasonic shoulder keys that are paired with dual x-axis linear motors and 3D motion sensors to provide a realistic gaming experience.
Lenovo Legion Phone Duel comes with two 2,500 mAh battery making it a total of 5,000 mAh battery. The phone comes with a 90W fast charging. According to Lenovo, from zero to up to 50 percent power happens in only 10 minutes, and a full charge only takes 30 minutes. The device has two USB Type-C ports — one is on the side and the other one is at the bottom. Lenovo has given extra side posts so that your cord won’t get in the way while charging at the time of gaming in landscape mode.

On the connectivity side, Lenovo Legion Phone Duet has support for 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC. It has an accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer, proximity sensor, and an ultrasonic sensor. There is also an in-display fingerprint sensor. The dual-SIM (Nano) Lenovo Legion Phone Duel runs on Android 10 with ZUI 12 (Legion OS).

Lenovo Legion Phone Duel comes in three configurations and the pricing these configuration follows as-

- 12GB+256GB – 4,199 yuan (around Rs. 44,750)
- 16GB+512GB – 5,999 yuan (around Rs. 63,925)
Lenovo Legion Phone Duel is available in two color variants, namely Red Flame and Ice Blue. The phone will go on August 5 in China. It is also launching in “select markets” in the Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), and Latin America at a later stage. There is no word on when and at which price it will arrive in India.
