Indian TikTok rival Mitron was pulled off from Google Playstore on June 2nd. But now current listing for the Mitron app on the official Google Play Store is live again. Now the app called itself app calls itself a ‘free short video and social platform based out of Bengaluru, India’, and its user interface is very similar to that of TikTok.
The app was pulled off from the play store due to a number of technical violations of Google’s policies. Yesterday Google said that “We’ve given this developer some guidance and once they’ve addressed the issue the app can go back up on Play.”
Now it looks like the developers have listened to Google and fixed all the issues. Mitron has also updated its Privacy Policy and includes a section on GDPR Data Protection Rights. It was one of the issues behind its pulling off from the play store.
