Asus has launched its new gaming phone, Asus ROG Phone 3 in India today. The phones come with the latest Snapdragon 865+ SoC and up to 12GB RAM in India. There is also a 16GB version but that’s not launched in India. Overall the phone packs enough horsepower to play any mobile game you throw at it.
Asus ROG Phone 3 Specification
Asus ROG Phone 3 features a 6.59-inches full HD+ display that comes with a 144Hz refresh rate, a 270Hz touch sampling rate, and 1,080 x 2,340 pixels resolution. The display has also support for HDR10+ and protected by the 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 6. The display also has a TUV Low Blue Light solution as well as a Flicker Reduction-certified technology for eye comfort.
The Asus ROG Phone 3 is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ SoC coupled with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of onboard UFS 3.1 storage that doesn’t support expansion through a microSD card. The ROG Phone 3 has a 6x large heat sink and comes with GameCool 3 cooling system. It also comes with an ‘X Mode’ for gaming that will also allow game profile customizations.
At the back, Asus ROG Phone 3 has a triple rear camera setup consists of a 64 MP f/1.7 Sony IMX686 primary camera, 13 MP ultra-wide camera with 125-degree FOV, a 5 MP f/2.0 macro lens. At the front, it has a 24MP f/2.0 camera for selfies. Asus ROG Phone 3 also comes with a Pro Video mode that allows 8K and 4K HDR 60fps recording, HyperSteady video-recording stabilization while the front camera support 1080P recording.
Asus ROG Phone 3 has a 6,000 mAh battery that comes with a 30 W fast charging support. The ROG Phone 3 sports dual, front-facing speakers powered by ROG GameFX and Dirac HD Sound technologies. There is also Hi-Res audio support. Additionally, the device has quad microphones with Asus Noise Reduction technology. The smartphone also features AirTrigger 3 tech that will allow users to customize different motion sensors as per the game they are playing and their own comfort.
On the connectivity side, the Asus ROG Phone 3 supports 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS/ NavIC. The device has an accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor. It also has an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Pricing and Availability
ROG Phone 3 will be available in two configurations in India– 8GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB. The Asus ROG Phone 3 price in India has been set at Rs. 49,999 (~$670) for the8GB RAM + 128GB storage one while the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage will cost you Rs. 57,999 (~$777). This smartphone will be available to buy in a single color variant and go on sale starting from 6th August, exclusively on Flipkart.
