But with this new Messenger Room, you can able to join a video call even if you have no Facebook account. You will simply receive a link from the video calling host and just click the link to join. And also, you can host video chats of up to 50 people now. One important thing we don’t have any time limit.
If you use Messenger App to join the video call then you can use AR effects and new features like immersive backgrounds and mood lighting. The creator of the room has the power to choose who joins the room and can remove anyone at any time and they can also look at the room if they don’t want more participants.
But still, it will not be easy to grab the market so easily. There are competitors who are doing much better than Facebook like Zoom, Houseparty. This not something new for Facebook to copy other popular products. And if they can’t copy them or their popularity is immense then Facebook just acquires them as they did the same with Instagram and WhatsApp.
