After some rumors, Nubia finally releases the Nubia Play in China. Nubia Play is a mid-range smartphone with essential features to make it a gaming phone. Nubia already has some powerful gaming phone in its flagship Red Magic series.
Nubia Play comes with a 6.65-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 144Hz and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The device features an in-display fingerprint sensor. There is no punch-hole or notch on the display, which means it has bezel up top and bottom. Although the bezels are not that much thick.
The Nubia Play is powered by the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G. It is a 5G capable chip though it uses the X52 modem instead of the X55 modem you can find in Snapdragon 865. The Nubia Play has an ICE2.5 cooling system which has a 61mm large liquid cooling tube, along with graphite gel and copper foil. Nubia Play has 6/8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128/256GB UFS 2.1 storage. It features a massive 5100 mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging.
At the back, Nubia Play houses quad-camera setup consists of a primary 48MP Sony IMX582 sensor along with an 8MP ultrawide snapper aided by two 2MP modules of which one for macro shots and another for depth data. The front-facing camera is 12MP which sits on the top bezel of the device.
The nubia Play 5G will be available in black, blue and white colors. Nubia Play is priced at 2,399 yuan (Rs. 26,000) for the 6GB+128GB base variant. While you have to 2,699 yuan (Rs. 29,250) and 2,999 yuan (Rs. 32,500) for the higher-end 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB variants respectively. It is currently available for pre-order in China but it may release in other countries soon.
