Xiaomi today launched Mi 10i, their first phone of this year. The ‘i” in the Mi 10i stands for “India”. Although this is the rebranded version of Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G which launched in China last month. The smartphone is a part of Xiaomi’s Mi 10 series that already includes Mi 10t, Mi 10t Pro, Mi 10 5G, Mi 10 Lite, and Mi 10 Lite Zoom.

Xiaomi Mi 10i features a 6.67 inch FHD+ display with a resolution of 1,080×2,400 pixels. The display has a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, HDR, and HDR10+ certification. The has a peak brightness of 450 nits and a 1500:1 contrast ratio. The device is protected by the Gorilla Glass 5 both in front and back. The display has a punch hole in the top middle to house the front-facing camera. Mi 10i is IP 53-rated splash-proof.
The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G with Adreno 619 GPU. The device comes with 6/8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB UFS 2.2 storage which can be expandable memory up to 512GB. As 750G is a 5G capable chip, Mi 10i has support for 5G (SA/NSA) with Snapdragon X52 modem.
Xiaomi Mi 10i features a quad-camera setup at the back consists of a 108MP f/1.75 Samsung HM2 sensor along with an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle sensor with a 120-degree field of view. There are also 2MP depth and 2MP macro lens. At the front, it has a 16MP selfie camera with f/2.45 aperture and 1.0-micron pixel size. Rear camera features include six long exposure modes, HDR, Google Lens, night mode 2.0, Pro mode, panorama, raw mode, 4k video recording, and more.
Xiaomi Mi 10i has a 4,820mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. On the connectivity side it has support for 5G SA/ NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz) 2 x 2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS (L1+L5), USB Type-C. The device also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The device runs on MIUI 12 based on Android 10.
Price and Availability
Xiaomi Mi 10i comes in Atlantic Blue, Pacific Blue and Midnight Black colour variants. The It is priced in India at Rs. 20,999 for the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage option, Rs. 21,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option and Rs. 23,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model.
The 6 GB RAM + 128 GB variant and the 8 GB RAM + 128 GB model will be available for purchase starting 7 January at 12 pm on Amazon and will go on open sale on 8 January at 12 pm on Amazon and Mi.com. However, the sale date for the 6 GB RAM+ 64 GB storage variant has not yet been revealed.
