Dell has launched its premium laptop Dell XPS 13 and Dell XPS 15 in India today. Dell first launched Dell XPS 13 in CES 2020 while Dell XPS 15 was launched in May globally. Dell has chopped the bezel and make the display 16:10 compare to last year.
Dell XPS 13 Specification
The Dell XPS 13 9300 comes with a 13.4-inch display which can be speced up to UHD+ (3,840 x 2,400 pixels). The display has a peak brightness of 500 nits, 1500:1 contrast ratio, and 91.5 percent screen-to-body ratio. The display has tall 16:10 aspect ratio and covers 100% of the sRGB color gamut. The screen comes with an anti-glare coating on top for reduced glare when working in bright lighting.
The Dell XPS 9300 is powered by the 10th gen Intel Core processors. You can equip it with from Core i3 (1005G1) up to quad-core Intel Core i7 (1065G7) processor. The laptop doesn’t have any decreed (dedicated) GPU, all the GPU works are handle by the integrated Iris Plus GPU. The laptop can be configured up to 32GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 2TB PCIe NVMe SSD.
Dell XPS 13 9300 has a 52WHr battery which can be charged with the included 45W AC adapter via a Type-C port. The company touts the battery life of up to 18 hours on a Full HD+ model and up to 12 hours while using a UHD model. XPS 13 comes with two Thunderbolt 3 ports, a microSD card reader, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. USB Type-C to Type-A adapter is also included in the box. The laptop measures at 14.8x296x199mm, and weighs1.2 Kg.
Dell XPS 15 Specification
The Dell XPS 15 9500 comes in 4K UHD+ (3840×2400 pixels) touchscreen and full-HD+ (1920×1200 pixels) non-touchscreen options. The size of the display is 15.6-inch with a 16:10 aspect and ratio screen-to-body ratio of 92.9 percent. The display covers 100 percent of the sRGB color gamut and 94 percent of DCIP3 color gamut with 500 nits of brightness. The display is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 6.
You can spec Dell XPS 15 9500 with 10th-generation Intel Core i5-10300H up to 10th generation Intel Core i9-10885H. Dell XPS 15 9500 has the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Ti GPU to handle all the GPU workload. You also get up to 32GB DDR4 SDRAM and 1TB PCIe SSD.
The Dell XPS 15 9500 comes with a 56Whr battery on the non-touch version and an 86Whr battery on the touchscreen model. The company touts the battery to last for up to 24 hours on the Full HD+ model or up to 13 hours on the UHD+ model. Dell XPS 15 has two Thunderbolt 3 ports and a USB Type-C 3.1 with power delivery and DisplayPort support. There is also quad-speaker setup with up-firing and top-mounted mics are designed for better video conferencing.
Pricing and Availability
The Dell XPS 13 is priced in India starting at Rs. 1,44,807 (inclusive of GST), while the Dell XPS 15 price in India starts at Rs. 1,86,072 (inclusive of GST). While the UHD model of the Dell XPS 13 has been listed for a price of Rs. 2,10,990. Both available on Amazon starting from today.
