LG Folder 2 Flip Android Phone Announced With Dual Display And 4G Support

LG surprised us by launching the successor the LG Folder, the LG Folder 2. LG Folder first launched in 2018 and featured a 3-inch IPS LCD display, Android 6 Marshmallow, 5MP camera, dedicated FM radio button and more. This was meant for budget buyers. The successor LG Folder 2 comes with upgrades like dual display, SOS Key and 4G support.

Folder 2 is powered by the Snapdragon 210 SoC with an Adreno 304 GPU paired with 1GB RAM. It has 8GB of onboard storage and the onboard storage can be further expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card. LG Folder 2 comes with two displays – a 2.8″ QVGA primary screen and a secondary 0.9″ monochrome panel to display notifications for texts and calls.

The LG Folder 2 has a 2MP camera that is located above the mono screen on the front which lets you quickly call a pre-registered number by pressing it three times within 1.5 seconds. The flip phone comes with SOS Key. There’s also a hotkey above the call button, which activated AI voice service or start the call recording function. However, the feature assigned to the hotkey will vary from carrier to carrier.

 The phone runs on an unspecified Android version and is powered by a 1,470mAh battery. The connectivity features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS. The LG Folder 2 weighs 127 grams. LG is offering Folder 2 in two color variants – White and New Platinum Grey. The phone is priced at KRW1,98,000, which is roughly Rs 12.425 or $160 and it will go on sale in South Korea on April 17.
