Realme has disrupted the mobile phone market in India with its low-price high performing phone. Now Realme is all set to release their next phone in India. Realme CEO Madhav Sheth confirmed in twitter that Realme will release a phone with 64MP camera.
In the first half of 2019, we have seen a trend in the mobile phone industry to release a 48MP camera phone. Whether it is Xiaomi Note 7 Pro or OnePlus 7 Pro. Now 64MP camera phone can be the next big thing in the latter half. We have already seen Xiaomi and Samsung are also working on phones with a 64MP camera.
This new mysterious new Realme phone will feature a Samsung made 64MP camera. The 64MP camera will feature a 1/1.72’’ ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor with 1.6µm pixel size. It will use tetracell technology and remosaic algorithm to churn out 16 MP images in low lighting conditions by merging four pixels into one and 64 MP images with “color filter descrambling” in well-lit conditions. Or in a simple word, it will use 4-1 pixel binning technology for a better image.
From the sample image posted on Twitter, we can also see from the watermark that this new Realme device will have quad camera setup. We can hope that Realme will opt for a flexible normal/ultra-wide/telephoto arrangement.
Realme CEO also confirmed that this new Realme phone will release in India first. It isn’t a surprise for all because Realme is targeted for the Indian market after all. In Realme’s words, it will be a “premium killer,”. So we can expect an affordable price tag for this Realme phone.
For now, we don’t know anything about the release date of this device. But in a replay to a tweet CEO has said that it may release in Q4 of this year. We will inform you as soon as we get new information.
