When we think about a 5G phone the first thing comes in our mind is that it must be an expensive flagship device like Samsung Galaxy Note 10. But with the release of Samsung’s latest Galaxy A90 5G means that 5G is now also available in the midrange.
Samsung’s A-series represents smartphone of lower to higher midrange. Recently Samsung is introducing flagship features like quad camera, flip-up camera in A series. Samsung Galaxy A90 is the first smartphone from Samsung’s Galaxy A-series to support 5G, helping Samsung’s 5G proliferation efforts by spreading it beyond just flagships.
Specification
Samsung Galaxy A90 has 6.7-inch full HD+ (1080×2400) Super AMOLED display with a small “Infinity-U” notch. The back of the phone is glass and it has an in-display fingerprint sensor. In the back, A90 has a triple camera setup consist 48MP f/2.0 main shooter, 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera and 5MP f/2.2 depth sensor. On the front, it has 32MP f/2.0 selfie shooter.
A90 is power by Snapdragon 855 SoC. It has 6 or 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. It has a 4500 mAh battery with support for up to 25W fast charging.
The main attracting points of Galaxy A90 are the 5G support and Samsung DeX support. It has 5G Non-Standalone (NSA) Sub6 support.
If 5G is not your thing or your country doesn’t have the 5G connectivity still with its solid spec A90 can impress you. Samsung Galaxy A90 will compete aganist the likes of Redmi K20 Pro or otherwise known as Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro. Well, we don’t know the price yet. But we do know that it will be available from September 4 in Korea in two classic colour options – black and white.
Update: Comming to Europe
In a tweet, Qualcomm’s EU division informed that the Samsung Galaxy A90 5G is coming to Europe. Although they have not shared any other information about the release. If we know anything else we will inform you.
